The cottages are very well kept with after-stay housekeeping.
For your comfort, the cottages have gas, forced air furnaces with thermostat in each unit. The cottages are not air conditioned & most rooms have ceiling fans but we also have fans for our hot weather days.
Kitchens are fully equipped with refrigerator, full-size electric range, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and most items needed for cooking & dining. Lakeside has a dishwasher. We have other kitchen items available as needed. We also supply garbage bags, dish soap, paper towels, white toilet paper, plastic wrap, foil, coffee filters, salt, pepper and sugar.
Bathrooms have showers.
Each unit has 19"+ color HD TV's. Aerie has a TV upstairs and Lakeside has a 13” color TV in one of the bedrooms. All TV’s have satellite service and there is one DVD/VCR player in each unit.
Both cottages are set up with high speed internet access.
Booster chairs with trays and one portable crib are available for your use. Please reserve and bring your own crib sheets.
Cottages are furnished with queen and twin sized beds. Pillows and blankets are provided. Please bring your own sheets, bath and kitchen towels. Bed linens for weekly guests are available at $10.00/bed. For short stays we provide sheets and towels.
Each cottage has a Weber grill and grilling utensils. Please bring your own charcoal and fluid.
Aerie has table with chairs and lounger on the porch with a patio at ground level with a picnic table. Lakeside has a covered patio with table and chairs out front. There are chairs for use around the fire pit or elsewhere.
Rental includes use of a fishing boat, canoe, kayaks & paddleboat. We also provide all required life vests (adult & children’s sizes) and boat cushions.
Motors are available for rent for $100.00/week with one tank of gas furnished.
We have an 18’ pontoon boat that is set up for fishing & relaxing for rent on a first come, first serve basis. Rental by the day is $135.00, by the week is $750.00 and gas is extra.
We have some fishing accessories (bait buckets, nets, scale), but no poles. You will need a fishing license.
There is a swim raft at about 6’ depth, floats and water toys for adults and children.
Children’s play area, including a sandbox full of toys, shovels, buckets, etc.
Basketball hoop with ball, croquet set and corn bag toss game.
Fire pit with wood. Toasting sticks are also available for your use.
Both units have use of piers, watercraft, lakeside swings, fire pit and lake frontage. If you are bringing your own boat, there is plenty of docking space.
You will find playing cards in the cottages and we also have an assortment of board games that you can check out.
We live on the property so we are generally available, if needed.
Directions
Bart’s Cottages is located between Eagle River and Three Lakes off of Highway 45. Landmarks are Kwaterski Bros. Wood Products from the south and Northwoods Furniture Store from the north. Take Evergreen Rd. or Meta Lake Rd. and follow the “Bart’s Cottages” directional arrow signs for 2.5 miles. We are at 1869 Meta Lake Rd. and have two driveway entrances on the right side of the road immediately past the “We love our children” sign.
*Please note that the addresses (fire #’s) decrease from the 3000’s down to the 1800’s when you cross the county line.
